This outing was founded and is co-chaired by Kevin Briggs and Jim Davis, both employees of New Hanover Regional Medical Center—a perennial supporter of the AHA Heart Walk. The American Heart Association’s mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The association’s impact goal is to reduce coronary heart disease, stroke and risk by 25% by 2010. Some of the AHA’s strategies are to improve awareness by providing credible information on heart disease and stroke, investing in scientific research and community mobilization as a foundation and restricting consumer markets to the US.
We would like to thank everyone that came out to the event and enjoyed the show the 2 teams put on. We would also like to thank all the people behind the scenes that made this event possible. We raised over a thousand dollars at this event and with DVD sales going strong, that number continues to increase.
